Jejak ("we", "us", or "Jejak") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Jejak mobile app and website jejak.id (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide directly
Full name and display name, email address, profile photo, bio and profile location, trail reviews, trail condition reports, community posts and comments.
b. Outdoor activity information
Activity logs (distance, time, elevation, GPS route), activity photos, activity type, trails visited.
c. Location information
Real-time GPS location while you actively record an activity (foreground only, unless you grant background location permission). Approximate location to show nearby trails.
d. Device & technical information
Device model, OS version, app version, device language, IP address, push notification token, anonymous usage and diagnostics data.
e. Information from third parties
If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive the name and email address associated with that account, subject to the permissions you grant.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to: • Provide, operate, and improve the Service • Create and manage your account • Display your personal activity history and statistics • Calculate and display achievement badges • Show community content (posts, reviews, trail reports) • Send relevant notifications (trail condition changes, comments, likes) • Analyse Service usage in aggregate to improve the product • Comply with applicable legal obligations
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations: • Other users: your name, profile photo, posts, reviews, and activity logs set to "Public" are visible to other users. • Service providers: Supabase (database & auth), Vercel (hosting), and analytics providers to help operate the Service. • Legal requirements: if required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process. • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored on servers located in the Asia-Pacific region via Supabase. We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. No system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials confidential. Active account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
Under the Indonesian Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and applicable regulations, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data • Delete your account and associated data • Withdraw consent to data processing at any time • Export your activity data in a machine-readable format • Object to certain processing of your data To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@jejak.id
6. Children's Data
The Jejak Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
7. Third-Party Services
Our Service uses the following third parties, each with their own privacy policies: • Supabase – database, authentication, and storage (supabase.com/privacy) • Vercel – hosting and analytics (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) • OpenStreetMap – maps (osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy) • Open-Meteo – weather data, does not collect personal data (open-meteo.com/en/terms) • Google Sign-In / Facebook Login / Sign in with Apple – OAuth authentication
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
